Mini Book Reviews

I had originally set out to write more detailed assessments of books I read, but at a pace of 50 books a year, that became untenable. As such, ensuring the perfect be not the enemy of the good, I limited myself to 2-3 written paragraphs, and about 3 quotes from each book. There's clearly more to my thoughts on the books I read, and would love to chat! Just connect with me in person and we'll discuss things in greater detail.

Some Technicalities

Yes, some of the quotes are not actually from the authors, but from other individuals the authors include in their book to make their points. If I included the quote, it was introduced to me through the given book, and was valuable to me. Attribution is given appropriately. If a source is not provided for the quote, it's assumed that the quote comes from the blurbed book. The point isn't to highlight, necessarily, the author's exclusive work, but the ideas and concepts I came across when reading the book.

In The End

This documentation is useful to me as a sort of reading journal. I thoroughly enjoy reading far and wide on almost any topic, and it's helpful for me to track and briefly reflect on the ideas I've learned and beliefs I've changed over the years. The way I see it, if I come away from each book with one significant changed belief or lesson learned, it was worth my time.

With more than 200 hundred books under my belt from the last few years, I’ll be adding more every few weeks or so!
